Lana Del Rey a făcut publică melodia "Young And Beautiful" , parte din coloana sonoră a mult aşteptatului film regizat de Baz Luhrmann, "The Great Gatsby". Piesa este spectaculoasă, nostalgică, reuşind să pună în evidenţă relaţia dintre cele două personaje principale, Jay Gatsby interpretat de Leonardo DiCaprio şi Daisy Buchanan în rolul jucat de Carey Mulligan.

Melodia reuşeşte să creioneze o atmosferă de un romantism întunecat, asemănătoare cu alte creaţii din repertoriul artistei precum "Born To Die" sau "Ride". Construită pe baza unei partituri de pian, piesa creşte în intensitate, o dată cu ritmul tobelor şi cel al ecourilor care învăluie creaţia. Lana declară în versuri o iubire aparent sortită eşecului, invocând divinitatea: "Dear Lord, when I get to Heaven, please let me bring my man/When he comes, tell me that you’ll let him in. "

Apare ideea că dragostea poate fi efemeră şi în timp, o dată cu trecerea anilor, scade în intensitate sau chiar dispare, unul din versuri fiind repetat aproape obsedant: "Will you still love me when I'm no longer young and beautiful..."
