Au fost anunțate nominalizările pentru ediția cu numărul 55 a premiilor Grammy. La categoria rock îi avem pe Muse, Coldplay, Jack White și Bruce Springsteen, iar în zona muzicii alternative pe Gotye, Björk și Fiona Apple. Lista nominalizărilor pentru cele mai importante categorii poate fi consultată mai jos.

Nominalizari Grammy Awards 2013

Deși albumul 21 a ieșit anul acesta din UK Top 40, Adele culege în continuare roadele de pe urma celui mai prolific material discografic al ei. Artista britanică a primit o nouă nominalizare, de această dată pentru cea mai bună prestație live din sfera pop, pentru interpretarea piesei Set Fire To The Rain. În aceeași categorie se află și Rihanna, cu Where Have You Been, Katy Perry, cu Wide Awake, Carly Rae Jepsen cu Call Me Maybe și Kelly Clarkson, cu Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You), artista împlinind anul acesta 20 de ani de carieră. Kelly Clarskson a primit, de asemenea, o nominalizare pentru cel mai bun album pop.

Pentru categoria ”Albumul anului”, bătălia se dă între Jack White, The Black Keys, FUN., Frank Ocean și Mumford & Sons, în timp ce pentru ”Piesa anului” competiția se strânge în jurul single-urilor Somebody That I Used To Know (Gotye Featuring Kimbra), Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You) (Kelly Clarkson), Lonely Boy (The Black Keys), We Are Young (FUN Featuring Janelle Monáe), Thinkin Bout You (Frank Ocean) și We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together (Taylor Swift).
